Mid-Year Progress Review Session

July 29, 2026

The Institute of Early Childhood Development – UNESCO Category 2 will be hosting its Mid-Year Progress Review Session on Thursday, 30 July 2026. The session aims to review progress achieved in implementing the projects in the National Action Plan for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) 2025-2027 during the period January 2025 to June 2026. It is important to note that the National Action Plan is currently in its mid-second year of implementation.

The session will be led by IECD’s Local Board and will bring together Technical Teams from the following sectors:

  • Education
  • Health
  • Social Affairs, Family and Equality
  • Local Government and Community Affairs
  • IECD – UNESCO Category 2

The Sectoral Technical Teams will be accompanied by their respective Principal Secretaries and Chief Executive Officer.

Representatives from each sector will present updates on key achievements, ongoing initiatives, and progress toward enhancing quality Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) services. The review will also serve as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, share experiences and challenges, and discuss solutions for the upcoming implementation period.

This important milestone in ECCE reflects IECD’s continued commitment to accountability, reporting, shared responsibility, partnership, and achieving meaningful results for Seychelles’ young children and families. Through collective efforts across sectors, we continue to work towards ensuring that every child has access to high-quality care, education, and support.

We look forward to welcoming all Sectoral Teams and wish them the very best!
