February 20, 2026This morning, our team held the first community session for parents for 2026. This is part of the promotion of the newly introduced Early Learning Programme for 0-3 (Together We Play and Learn), and national standards, along with the Sensitisation of Parents (SENSPA). The session was facilitated by our dedicated partners and experts in early childhood education: Marie Claire Leon, Marie Helene Adrienne, and Elisca Zialor.
The event took place at Beau Vallon Community Centre and attracted a group of engaged parents who actively participated in creative activities and simulations. Throughout the session, they remained attentive and eager to learn. Parents had the opportunity to seek clarification about the programme itself and the child care services available for their children.
Overall, parents expressed their satisfaction with the session, describing it as informative and engaging. They reported gaining a better understanding of how to support their children’s learning and development at home.
Congratulations to the team for your consistent efforts and support in bringing our programme closer to parents and the community. We wish the parents success in applying the knowledge and skills acquired today with their children.
So far, 500 parents from Mahe, Praslin and La Digue participated in this initiative. This year, we aim to sensitise as many parents as possible within the community and workplaces.
Stay tuned for more updates on the SENSPA Programme throughout this year!
