• Main organizer of the 1st International Biennial Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education (2017)

  • Designated as ‘Best Practice Hub’ by the International Bureau of Education – UNESCO in February 2017.

  • Hosted a song competition for early childhood children on the 2018 National Theme: ‘Sesel, mon pei beni’.

  • Launched a Directory for Island and Mahe-based registered Childminders.

  • Launched two Big Books to promote early literacy and interaction within Chilmdinding establishments

  • Launched a Mid-Morning Snacks Booklet to provide parents with healthy and nutritious alternatives for children’s snacks

  • Developer and guardian of the National Action Plan for Early Childhood Care and Education, a biennial publication.

  • Established IECD  as a statutory body (IECD Act, 2014) and recruitment of staff Coordinate, develop and launch the National Plans 2013– 2014 and 2015-2016 on ECCE

  • Carry out nation-wide Childminding Study, results endorsed by Cabinet and recommendations are being implemented

  • Set up documentation facility with literature, referenced books, documents and information on ECCE. ‘A one-stop shop’ for early childhood professionals, practitioners, caregivers, members of the public and notably prospective ECCE students

  • Launch two publications which feature a collection of young childhood aspirations for Seychelles 2020 and poems on the national theme – ‘ I Love Seychelles’

  • Develop in collaboration with ECCE Sectors the first Seychelles ECCE Terminology Directory

  • Conduct pre-registration sensitization training for over 100 Childminders on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue
