January 24, 2026On this auspicious Orange Day, we at the Institute stand united in advocating for a safer and brighter future for women and girls. The foundation of this future begins in early childhood, where access to quality Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) plays a pivotal role. ECCE provides young children with a nurturing environment, stimulating learning opportunities, and essential support from child care providers, parents, and professionals dedicated to early childhood development.
At IECD-UNESCO Category 2 Institute, we are committed to strengthening the ECCE system in Seychelles, ensuring that every child, especially girls, benefits from holistic care that promotes resilience, respect, and lifelong learning. By investing in quality early childhood education, we lay the groundwork for girls to grow into confident, educated, and empowered women capable of facing future challenges with courage and strength.
As we observe Orange Day, let us continue to champion the rights of girls, advocate for their protection, and work tirelessly against violence and other obstacles in their lives. Together, through our collective efforts in promoting and enhancing ECCE, we can build a safer, more equitable future for all.
