
The Institute of Early Childhood Development (IECD), in its role as a UNESCO Category 2 Institute for Early Childhood Care Education, is proud to host the “2nd Regional Workshop on “Progress and Way Forward on the Tashkent Declaration and Commitment to Action for Transforming Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).”
This pivotal event is organized in partnership with the Government of Seychelles, the UNESCO Secretariat, and relevant UNESCO Regional Offices. It will convene policymakers and ECCE professionals from Northern Africa, Western Africa, and the Arab States in Seychelles from November 18th to 22nd.
This second regional workshop builds on our ongoing mission to advance the objectives of the Tashkent Declaration, ensuring equitable access and fostering the holistic development of every young child. Aligned with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the workshop will serve as a critical platform to review progress, address challenges, and strengthen collaborative efforts.
Over three intensive days, participants will engage in interactive, in-person sessions designed to chart future strategies for fulfilling our shared ECCE commitments.
